Stacks developers will often need STX tokens to test the applications they’re building. After installing the testnet version of Leather, developers will have access to a number of different ways for obtaining STX. You can also obtain testnet STX by switching your wallet over to the “testnet” network in Leather.

How to Obtain STX from the Stacks Explorer Sandbox

To obtain STX from the Stacks Explorer Sandbox:

  1. Head to the Stacks Explorer Sandbox page
  2. Click “Connect Stacks Wallet” and select your Leather testnet wallet
  3. Select “Request STX”
  4. STX will be sent to your testnet wallet
